Heidelberg Athletics Hall of Fame
John Kahle earned his way into the hall of fame after standout career on the hardwood of Seiberling Gymnasium.
He was a four-year letter-winner as a member of the basketball team and took home Most Valuable Player honors following his sophomore and senior seasons. He earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference during his senior season and was ranked in the top-10 in the nation for free throw shooting. Scoring forty points on two occasions was the highlight of his senior season.
He began his teaching career at Tiffin Calvert and assisting The 'Berg men's basketball team, before working as head boy's basketball coach at Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic and (Massillon) Perry High Schools. In four seasons with the Crimson Streaks and Panthers he was 59-19.
He was a founding partner with Power-Kahle & Associates and the practice grew to more than 15 employees and a volume of more than $20 million per year.
Kahle was offered the opportunity to establish and incorporate a group business practice within the framework of the existing Mass Mutual agency. He saw this as a chance to bring his expertise and knowledge to more than 75 agents, including his son Tim and daughter Kristin, in southern California.
Kahle and his wife, Laura have three children, Tim, Jason and Kristin. and reside in DelMar, Cal.
