Heidelberg Athletics Hall of Fame
Barb spent most of her college career throwing things. She was a standout thrower for the Heidelberg women's track and field team for four years, before picking up softball during her fifth year.
Barb was a three-time NCAA Division III National qualifier, making the trip once each for her exploits with discus, shot, and javelin. She earned All-American status in the discus. She was an 11-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection in track and field, while setting the OAC record in the javelin during her career. She currently holds the discus and javelin record at the 'Berg. Beyond just being the team MVP, she was also a team leader and a three-time captain of the women's track team.
On the softball field Barb was the starting catcher and finished with a .300 batting average.
Barb has become a certified athletic trainer after receiving her master's degree from West Virginia University. Currently she serves as an athletic trainer at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
