One of Heidelberg Softball’s most decorated players, Jadie Wheeler helped the team in the late ‘90s with her bat and power.
A 1999 NFCA Third Team All-Region Selection, the offensive catalyst led the Berg in two categories upon her graduation. Wheeler held the record for home runs (27) and RBIs (123) until both were broken in 2016.
The 1999 Clyde Lamb Award winner had a stellar senior season at the plate, hitting .461 that season. That batting average currently stands at fifth all-time for best average in a single season. During that year, she hit 11 home runs, the second most in a single season, and was an All-OAC and Academic All-OAC honoree.
Wheeler was also selected to the All-OAC second team in 1998 and the first team in 1997.
Since her graduation from Heidelberg, Wheeler has worked as a consultant and software programmer in the field of higher education. She earned a master’s degree in Information Systems from the Keller Graduate School of Management in 2009. Jadie and her wife, Kim Harper, were married in 2017.
