In a span of three games during the magical 1983-84 season, Johnson and the Student Princes managed to defeat the defending Division III (Wabash) and Division II (Wright State) national champions. In the win over Wright State, he had an opportunity to square off with his brother, T.C., the point guard for Raiders.Claudie poured in 24 points in the 74-70 triumph over the Raiders. Sandwiched between the big wins was a rout of Ohio Dominican.

Through the course of his illustrious career, Johnson averaged 14.3 points per contest.

After graduating, Johnson began what is now a 30-plus year career in the financial services industry, holding various positions such as Branch Manager, District Sales Manager, Relationship Manager, and Wealth Management Advisor at several top-tier banks.
