NEW CONCORD, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Track & Field team competed in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships this week on Thursday and Friday at Muskingum University. After some fierce competition, both Men and Women finished in 8th place.
TRACK EVENTS
Thursday
The Men's 4x800m relay finished in third place, running an impressive time of 7:46.02, allowing them to put some points on the board for The Berg.
Several Student Princes qualified to compete in Finals on Friday for running events.
Friday
Brianna Braatz had an outstanding performance, placing second in both the 100m dash with 12.22 seconds, and the 200m dash finishing in 25.29 seconds.
In the Men's 800m dash,
Dean Morrison finished in seventh place (1:56.48)
FIELD EVENTS
Thursday
Travis Bolden placed fifth in the Men's Long Jump, with a mark at 6.77m.
Jalani Reams placed fifth in the Men's Javelin Throw, reaching 50.11m
On the Women's side,
Amelia Lewin competed in the Women's Discus with a throw of 37.46m to put her in sixth place.
Friday
In the Women's Shot Put, Amelie Lewin earned 5th place with a throw of 12.47m.
