FINDLAY -- The Heidelberg University Track and Field team completed their final regular season meet; the Findlay University Flag City Open. The women finished 3rd in the field of DI and DII teams, while the men finished 2nd.
SPRINTS & HURDLES
Cameron Long finished 4th in the 60m hurdles at 8.77.
Zach Taylor took 6th at 9.52.Â
Brianna Braatz took 3rd in the 60m, with a personal best time of 7.90. For the men,
Korbyn Haley ran a personal best 7.12 in the 60m.Â
Tyreese Clerveau finished 5th in the 400m at 51.11. For the women,
Emily Valencia also took 5th at 1:02 flat.
Kylie Cope followed in 8th at 1:04.73.Â
MID-DISTANCEÂ
Freshmen
Lauren Hall and
Addison Horner took 1 and 2 in the 800m respectively. Hall finished with a time of 2:33.68, and Horner followed at 2:41.95.Â
On the men's side junior
Eric Barber took 4th (2:06.59), followed by
Aiden Casterline in 5th (2:07.05).
DISTANCE
Junior
Joe Brewster won the men's 3k in a time of 9:03.9.
Gavin Bichsel followed in 4th at 9:48.61.
Maddy McCall took 7th in the women's mile in a time of 5:50.17. Following were Hintze (5:57.44), and Mohr (6:19.33).Â
In a close race,
Dean Morrison took 2nd in the men's mile, finishing only 4 tenths of a second behind first (4:28.73).
Tyler Huff rounded out scoring in 8th with a time of 4:36.57.Â
FIELD EVENTS — THROWSÂ
Finishing 8th in the weight throw, senior
Kerry Copenhaver with a mark of 13.92m.Â
On the men's side,
Josiah Brown took 8th in the shot put at 14.01m. Just shy of scoring was
Ethan Rieman in 9th at 12.61m.
FIELD EVENTS — JUMPS
Ella Jacobs tied for 3rd place in the high jump at 1.53m.Â
Freshman Wyatt Davis took 4th in the long jump at 6.35m, followed by
Jacob Myers in 8th at 5.96m. In the triple jump,
Jesse Vanlerberg finished 2nd with a jump of 12.16m.
Cornell Test vaulted 4.00m to finish 6th in the pole vault.Â

The Student Princes will be back on the track Friday, February 27 at home for the Indoor OAC Championships.
