Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TIFFIN – The Heidelberg University Baseball team celebrated Senior Day in their final series of the season,

Before a soggy first pitch, Heidelberg recognized graduate assistant Josh Slade, and seniors Corey Brafford, Andrew Pokley, Peyton Mosier, Jackson Powers, Kyle Krummen, Nicholas Lavelle, Orian Kroah, Anthony D'Amico, and Corbin Caplin for all of their contributions to the program.

GAME ONE -- ONU: 8-6-2, BERG: 4-7-3

Down 4–0 heading into the bottom of the sixth, Heidelberg strung together four consecutive RBI hits to even the score in a thrilling rally. It began with Kyle Krummen reaching base and eventually scoring when Theo Walsh smashed a double to center, putting the Student Princes on the board.

Sam Schneider kept the momentum alive with a laser down the right field line for another double, scoring Walsh and tightening the gap to just two runs.

Not to miss out on the fun it was Braedy Limke, who continued his red-hot day at the plate by singling to center. He advanced to second on a throwing error, and more importantly, brought Schneider home to make it a one-run game. Limke finished the game an impressive 3-for-4 with an RBI, and a stolen base. Capping the rally, Cort Kramer roped a double into the left-center gap, allowing Limke to score and tie the game at 4–4.

Heidelberg would surrender four more runs to the visitors in the next inning, capping the scoring for game one.

GAME TWO -- ONU: 12-13-0, BERG: 9-10-4

The Berg seized an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, as Garrett LaBeau lined a single to right field, opening the door for Sam Schneider to score from second. Moving to the third, with two outs and two runners on, Logan Walpole sent a single back up the middle to bring home LaBeau, giving Heidelberg a two run lead.

Heidelberg put together a four-run rally in the fourth inning, capitalizing on walks and wild pitches to break the game open.
The inning began with Kyle Krummen singling through the right side, and then advancing to third on a single to center by Theo Walsh. Sam Schneider followed with an RBI single to right, scoring Krummen and moving Walsh to third. Schneider then stole second, setting the stage for Braedy Limke, who delivered a 2-RBI single to right-center, plating both Walsh and Schneider to extend the lead.

After a stolen base by Limke, Garrett Labeau grounded out to first, advancing Limke to third. On the next pitch, Limke scored on a wild pitch, making it 6–0 Heidelberg.
Following the run, Kramer drew a walk, and ONU made a pitching change. The scoring continued as another wild pitch moved Kramer to second. Logan Winstead walked, and another wild pitch moved both runners up a base. Walpole followed that up with his own walk, loading the bases with one out. The Polar Bears would limit the damage there, picking up strikeouts for the final two outs of the inning.

Ohio Northern responded in a big way, scoring 12 unanswered runs before the Berg found their seventh run of the day in the bottom of the seventh inning. Schneider roped a single to right field, scoring Jack McKelley from second.

The Student Princes mounted a final push in the bottom of the ninth. McKelley led off with a single up the middle, then scored when Walsh laced a triple to right-center. Schneider followed with a sacrifice fly to center, bringing in Walsh and cutting the deficit to 12–9. Limke extended the inning with a two-out walk, but LaBeau fouled out to first to end the rally.

With today's doubleheader, Heidelberg has concluded the 2025 baseball season.
