WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Baseball team had four players earn All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors, as voted by the league's coaches.
Grant Bomer and
Braedy Limke were first team selections while
Sam Schneider and
Logan Walpole received second team laurels.
Limke shifted from third base to second base for the season and earned All-OAC honors for the third time in his career. A senior from Rochester Hills, Mich., Limke hit a team-best .342 with 38 RBI and 12 doubles. Over the course of his 151 game career, he was a .303 hitter with 125 RBI, 33 doubles and 14 home runs. With 191 hits, he is 13th on the program's all-time hits list. Limke was a first team honoree in 2024 and a second team selection in 2025, and is the 25th player in program history to earn all-conference accolades three times.Â
Bomer, a freshman, was a first team selection behind the plate. A native of Fostoria, he hit .326 and led the team with three home runs and 13 doubles. He drove in 34 runs. Defensively, he threw out 22 base runners and had a fielding percentage of .991.Â
Schneider, an honorable mention in 2025, was a second team selection at shortstop. The sophomore from Galloway hit .296 and scored 32 runs. Aided by 28 walks and six hit by pitches, Schneider had an on-base percentage of .432 -- tops among the starters. Â
Walpole was a second teamer as a utility player, splitting time between the mound and first base. A sophomore from Harrison, Walpole had 22 RBI and an OPS of .660. On the mound, he made 11 starts and threw 64.1 innings. He went 4-4 with a 4.20 ERA. In the field, he boasted a fielding percentage of .993 -- charged with just two errors in 277 chances. Â
