GAME ONE   MUSKY 8-10-1   BERG 7-11-2

Teams traded runs in the first, with Heidelberg's run coming on an Andrew Pokley single that followed a triple by Braedy Limke.

Down 4-1 in the bottom of the third, the Student Princes added a run on a single by Limke that drove in Theo Walsh

The Muskies added two in the fifth and the seventh, taking an 8-2 lead.

Heidelberg plated a single run in the seventh on a catcher's interference call that forced in Cort Kramer

Down 8-3 in the ninth, Heidelberg fought back. The first four reached for The Berg -- a Garrett LaBeau walk, a Logan Walpole single, a Kramer walk and a two-run double to left center by Kyle Krummen.  A third run scored on an RBI groundout by Walsh. Sam Schneider followed with a double to left that scored Krummen and brought HU to within one. Limke walked, bringing up Pokley. He pushed a bouncer up the middle that was fielded on a slide by shortstop Conner Thamann. Thamann sprang to his feet, touched second and fired to first for the game-ending double play.
