ADRIAN, MI – The Heidelberg University Baseball team traveled north to take on the Adrian Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 15-3.
Trailing 3-0 in the top of the third,
Thomas McGuire got on first courtesy of a walk. He advanced to second after
Kyle Krummen grounded out to the shortstop. It was
Sam Schneider who stepped up to deliver a blistering single up the middle, and McGuire raced home to give the Berg their first score of the game.
Heidelberg surrendered five runs in the third and fourth innings, but McGuire would send the ball over the fence for his second run of the game. In the sixth inning, the Bulldogs walked
Logan Walpole to start the inning off, and
Braden Keeney sent him home with a double to the left field, making it an 8-3 game for the home team.
The Bulldogs added to their lead in the seventh and eighth.
The Student Princes host Hiram College on Wednesday at Peaceful Valley. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
