WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Women's Basketball team was upended by Otterbein University, 94-55, inside the Rike Center on Saturday afternoon. The Student Princes were led by
Morgan Altenburger's second straight double-double.
Altenburger finished with 10 points and 11 boards -- her sixth double-double of the season.
Ashley Ballard had a career and team-high 13 points while
Emma Keto had 11.
Bolstered by a pair of 3-pointers from Keto, Heidelberg trailed by five after the first quarter, 22-17.
A 5-0 run to start the second pulled HU even at 22. Otterbein pushed their lead back to five with a minute left in the half -- then hit two back-breaking 3-pointers and led by 11 at half.
Ten 'Berg turnovers in the third quarter resulted in a 33-10 run during the frame.
Otterbein outscored Heidelberg in the fourth, 20-15, and coasted to victory.
The Cardinals were led by a 22-point performance from Katie McCrary.
Ballard and
Cheyanne Bean both had eight rebounds.
After four straight games on the road, Heidelberg returns home on Wednesday. HU hosts Ohio Northern for a 7 p.m. contest.
