TIFFIN – The Heidelberg University Women's Basketball team lost to conference foe Ohio Northern University on Wednesday, 78-50. Cheyanne Bean matched her career-high with 18 points in the loss. 

Bean also led the team with seven rebounds and tacked on three steals. Emma Keto added nine points and two assists while Morgan Altenburger had a team-high three assists. 

Following a career-high game on Saturday, Ashley Ballard started things off with a 3-pointer from Jewel Persinger. The Student Princes kept up with the Polar Bears until a 9-3 run late in the quarter. The hosts found a way to feed Cheyanne Bean underneath, where she picked up eight of the HU 15 to ONU's 21. 

Shooting far above their average, Ohio Northern sank five from deep in the second, four of which came in the first five minutes. Keto, Ashley Ballard, Bean and Altenburger put together 11 points to close the half with a 40-26 gap. 

Keto put in two more 3-pointers in the fourth, as the Polar Bears held victorious, 78-50.

The Heidelberg women's basketball team returns to Seiberling on Saturday for a 1 p.m. matchup against Muskingum University (9-11, 4-9 OAC).
