Adam McVicker picked up another postseason honor, earning a spot on the All-Mideast Region second team as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
The Canal Winchester native tallied 44 hits, 12 doubles, and four triples. He led The Berg with nine home runs during the season -- tied for ninth for most home runs in a season in program history. He was hit by 10 pitches on the season and moved into the program's career top 10 with 31 career HBPs.
Founded in 1945, the American Baseball Coaches Association is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 15,000 members represent all 50 states and 36 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include nine divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School, Youth and Travel.
Heidelberg baseball has had at least one all-region honoree in each of the past nine seasons.
