Box Score GRANVILLE, Ohio -- Despite a three-run home run from freshman
Braedy Limke, the Heidelberg University baseball team dropped a non-conference game at Denison. The Big Red rallied from a 4-0 deficit and beat the Student Princes, 7-4.
Heidelberg slipped to 10-12 on the season, but returns to action on Friday.
Alex McRandal drew a one-out walk and moved to third on a double by
Reece McNeely in the second. After a pitching change, Limke hit a no-doubt-about-it bomb to right on a 1-0 pitch -- his fourth of the season.
The Berg added another in the third.
Zane Mirgon singled and moved to second on a failed pickoff attempt. With two outs,
Kyle Krummen knocked in Mirgon with a base hit to right.
Denison answered with three runs in the bottom of the third and took the lead with a four-run fourth.
Heidelberg was held hitless over the final six innings.
Payton Moser started, going three full innings.
Ridge Clark worked the fourth inning.
Ty Kirk worked the final four innings and did not allow a run while fanning five.
The Student Princes travel to Wilmington College on Friday for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
