Steckel finished a career year for the 'Berg as he set two program records one for most field goals in a game with five. He also nailed a 53-yard field goal against Wilmington – just shy of an OAC record

On the defensive side of the ball, three players earned first-team honors; Zach Blackiston, Griffin Pendry, and Parker Smith

In 2022, he picked up 14 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss and received the OAC's Paul Hoernemann Award -- given to the top defensive lineman.

Pendry appears on the list for the second time in his career and was also a D3 Football All-American in 2021. This year, the hard-hitting safety tallied 62 tackles and also added an interception.

Smith, selected as a punter, appears on the list for the second time in his career. After averaging 41.6 yards per punt this season, he finished his career with an average of 40.5, the second-best mark in school history.

Tyler Turek and Easton St.Clair received second team accolades. Turek finished the season with a career high 7.5 sacks and 61 tackles. St.Clair tallied 3.5 sacks and 64 tackles on the year. The honor was the first regional award for both.

Yearby is appearing on the list for a third time in his stellar career. He finished the 2022 campaign with 1,030 yards rushing while averaging 112.3 yards per game and added nine touchdowns.

Sweat appears on the list for the first time in his career. He garnered an All-OAC selection in the '21 and '22 seasons and was a vital part of the Heidelberg offensive line that helped Yearby finish second in the conference for yards per game this season.

The nine all-region selections for Heidelberg, up from six selections a year ago, was tops in the OAC.  The five first-team selections also set a program record in a traditional season.
