HARROD, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Women's and Men's Golf teams returned to Colonial Golfers Club on Monday for the Joe Campoli Classic, showing marked improvement from Sunday's season opener.

The men's A-Team made the biggest jump on the leaderboard, firing a 307 to tie Tiffin for second place. The 307 was 23 strokes better than Heidelberg's 330 at Sunday's Ohio Northern Kick-Off Classic, where the team finished 11th.

Lance Frankhart led the way with a two-over 74 -- his collegiate best and five shots better than Sunday's 79. Nate Hamilton improved four strokes with a 76, while Ryan Rettig also shaved four shots off his Sunday score with a 78. James Johnston carded a 79 and Weston Mohler rounded out the scoring with an 82, seven strokes better than his 89 on Sunday.

The men's B-Team also featured several solid rounds. Nate Kelly was six strokes better on Monday, carding a 76. Colin Jennings shot an 81, while Cael Dowdell finished with an 84 and Austin Hammond carded an 89.

On the women's side, Heidelberg finished second with a 333, an 18-stroke improvement from Sunday's 351.

Lexie Honigford made the biggest individual jump, firing a career best seven-over 79 after shooting 95 on Sunday, a 16-stroke improvement. Claire Recker matched her Sunday score with another 79, while Brooke Barnes lowered her score by five strokes with an 80. Cate Reinhart shot a 95 and Kylie Hostettler finished with a 99.

On the B-team Anzaya Estep led the group with a 95, followed by Paige Kearns at 98, Adi Kramer at 101, Elizabeth Jackson at 102 and Cheyenne Deaton at 103. Kearns improved six strokes from Sunday, while Jackson was eight shots better.

The men's team returns to the links on Sunday at the Mount Union Fall Invitational at Tannenhauf. The women's side will host the Heidelberg Fall Invitational at Fostoria Country Club on Friday and Saturday.
