ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Heidelberg University's Men's Golf team tied for fourth place at the Mount Union Fall Invitational. The two day event turned into a one day, 15-team field due to rain induced conditions. As a result, the men played 18 holes on Sunday.

The A-Team shaved 3 strokes off their team score at last week's Joe Compoli Classic. The team of Nathan Kelly, Lance Frankart, Jimmy Johnston, Nathan Hamilton, and Ryan Rettig shot 304 to tie with Wooster for fourth place overall.

Graduate student Nate Kelly shot a career best 73, just one over, to tie for an eighth place finish. Kelly demolished his previous career best of 75, from the 2024 Mount Union Invite.

Freshman Lance Frankart shot a 76 on the day. Frankart carded a pair of birdies, finishing second for the team. James Johnston recorded a 77. Hamilton and Rettig rounded out the team, shooting 78 and 80, respectively.

The B-Team had a strong showing as well, with four members hitting 80: Jack Rinehart, Weston Mohler, Cael Dowdell, and Cohen Stull. This showing also marks each of their season bests. Leading the team was sophomore Matthew Peter, shooting 79 – 7 over, tying for 43rd.

The men will return to the course on October 3rd - 4th for the OAC Fall Preview. The two day event will be hosted at River Greens Golf Club.
