EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Heidelberg University Cross Country teams competed at the Spartan Invitational, hosted by Michigan State University. The meet consisted of a mixture of Division I, II, and III teams. 

MEN
Senior Tyler Huff led the way for the men, finishing 75th out of a field of 312 runners. Huff covered the 8k course in a time of 26:27.8.

Following in second for the team was sophomore Dean Morrison, who finished with a time of 27:00.1.

Braden Cinato, fellow sophomore, took third for the team, recording a new personal best time of 27:13.9.

Rounding out the top five for the men were Thomas Katsares (27:14.1), and Joe Brewster (27:36.9)

WOMEN
Sophomore Addison Horner crossed the line at 26:15.4, to finish first for the women's team. 

Emma Hintze, close behind, recorded a time of 26:25.0.

Sophomore Briana Westrick made her 6k debut, finishing third for the time at 27:12.4. 

Rounding out the top five were freshmen duo Lydia Ruffing (27:13.9) and Courage Bielawski (27:32.4). 

The Student Princes will return to the course on Friday, October 2nd at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational. Men will race at 5:45 p.m., and the women at 6:30.
