Altenburger grabs career-best 17 boards

TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University Women's Basketball team was defeated by the No. 11 Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets, 82-40. The Yellow Jackets took control with a 33-9 run in the first quarter.  

Morgan Altenburger led all players with 13 points and 17 rebounds -- picking up her fifth double-double of the season. The 17 boards set a career high for the 'Berg senior.

Kami Whiteaker contributed eight points off the bench. 

The Student Princes shot 13-of-60 from the floor (21.7%), including a 4-of-14 performance from beyond the arc.  

Teams combined for 41 turnovers, but BW held a decisive 58-38 edge on the glass.  

Heidelberg travels to Marietta on Saturday. Originally slated for a 2 p.m. start, the game has been moved to a 1 p.m. tip along the banks of the Ohio River.
