The wait is finally over! The Heidelberg University Women's Wrestling program begins their inaugural season Sunday Nov. 2. After being in the works for almost two years, the 2025-26 season is underway.
This season is Head Coach
CarrieAnn Randolph's second at the helm, and her first competitive season. Randolph previously was an assistant coach at Wartburg College and North Iowa Area Community College.
Alongside her is Assistant Coach
Alex Castro. The 2025-26 season is Castro's first season with the program. He wrestled for four years at Defiance College, one season at Sienna Heights University, and then coached for one season at Sienna Heights.
THE ROSTER
HU kicks off its first season with 13 pioneering women ready to set the standard for the future. The team has nine freshmen, two sophomores, one junior, and one senior.

FROM THE COACH
"This head coaching journey, since it's my first rodeo, has been both daunting and exciting," says Randolph.
"I think another word for that is exhilarating! Believing in ourselves and having faith in the process will be one of the hardest things this season, but seeing how our girls already rally around each other and show such determination to be great gives me so much hope. Our future is bright, and I can't wait!"
SCHEDULE
Heidelberg will compete in nine regular season events. They will begin their season in University Heights at the John Carroll Round Robin on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m.
HU will host the JCU Dual alongside the Men's Wrestling team on Wednesday Nov 5. The featured exhibition match during the women's match pits University Provost Dr. Courtney DeMayo Pugno against Vice President for Advancement, Marketing Alumni and Community Relations Ashley Helmstetter.
They will then showcase their talents again at home in the new Frann's Fieldhouse for the Berg Holiday Duals on Dec. 13.
