NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – After 11 days since their last competition, the Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team dropped their final non conference match against Westminster 10-2 on Wednesday night.
In goal for the Student Princes was freshman
Wilson Runnette, who had a huge career night. His 28 saves set a program record for the most saves in a game (previously 24, set by
Cian Howery in 2022).

Rayce Septer and
Tyler Alexander scored the two HU goals – one in the first and one in the third.
Westminster picked up their first two goals in the opening three minutes. Septer laid his in unassisted with 3:45 remaining. A high pressure team of Titans scored four more before the half for a 6-1 lead.
Heidelberg held off the hosts until partway through the third. At 4:26, Alexander picked up his goal, unassisted. Westminster would keep the Tricolor scoreless through the third to secure the win.
The Septer brothers went 7-16 on the faceoff and the team tallied 18 ground balls.
Heidelberg falls to 3-3 on the season. They will begin their OAC campaign on Saturday as they travel to Marietta (1-4) for a 1 p.m. start time.
