TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team finished their Spring Break home stand with a win over Anderson. Six Student Princes scored in the victory, featuring five goals from 
Benjamin Evans. 
After an eight-point advantage at halftime, the Ravens managed to bring the score back within an uncomfortable four-point gap in the fourth quarter. Nevertheless, the Tricolor held them off for a 13-8 triumph. 
Heidelberg improves to 3-2, already the best season since the 6-11 squad of 2019. 
In goal for Heidelberg was Wilson Runette, who had 15 saves on 20 shots on goal and scooped up nine ground balls – his fifth game in a row with double-digit saves. The freshman also currently holds the third most saves in the OAC. 
Rayce Septer scored first for both teams midway through the first. Not even a minute later, Evans picked up his first of five goals out of the face-off. 
Rayce Septer capped off the first quarter by scoring at 1:35 as he snuck in an unassisted goal for a 3-0 advantage. 
Just 13 seconds into the second quarter, Septer again found the goal on an impressive man-down situation. 
Jacob Morgan found his one goal of the day at 11:50 off of a pass from 
Tyler Alexander, for a 5-0 lead. 
Anderson managed to find the goal a minute later to put them on the board, 5-1. 
Evans' second goal came on a man-up situation and was assisted by 
Jacob Brickman at 9:35. He proceeded to score two more back-to-back goals within eight seconds of each other as Alexander and 
Rayce Septer assisted. The trio of scores put HU at an 8-1 advantage.
Heidelberg would score two more before the half, Brickman at 5:51 and Alexander at 1:25. Sandwiched in between was a goal from Anderson for a 9-2 midway score.
The Student Princes came out strong picking up a quick two from Brickman and 
Maximillian Hatty. 
Jaydon Septer helped out with an assist for Brickman, giving The Berg an 11-2 lead.
The final goal of the third came from Anderson with 12:33 remaining, when they would embark on their attempted comeback journey. 
The Ravens held control of the game for the entirety of the fourth quarter, outscoring Heidelberg 5-1. 
Evans sealed their fate with a goal at 2:40, shutting down Anderson's enthusiasm. 
The Ravens played two goalies, who managed to come up with a combined nine saves. 
Heidelberg outshot Anderson 42-37 and picked up 37 ground balls compared to the opponent's 35. 
On the face-off, Anderson's Kenny Bentley managed 12 wins compared to 11 from Heidelberg's 
Jaydon Septer (6-14) and 
Rayce Septer (5-9). 
Heidelberg will take a break before traveling to Westminster (1-4) on Wednesday for a rare 6 p.m. start time.
