SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University baseball team picked up a morale-boosting win on the road at Wittenberg on Wednesday. The Student Princes hit two home runs en route to a 7-2 victory.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the first and held on to the modest lead into the top of the sixth.
In the sixth,

Heidelberg put up a five-spot in the seventh.
Andrew Pokley singled and moved to third on a double by
Seth Scoville.
Reese Kuhns followed with a two-run single. After a strikeout,
Camden Farley uncorked a two-run home run to left, putting HU ahead 6-1.
Later in the seventh,
Eric DeVore doubled and scored on an error.
Wittenberg threatened to climb back into the game in the bottom of the seventh, but
Ridge Clark entered and escaped a bases loaded jam. Clark earned the save with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.
Starter
Ryan Keane struck out four in 4.1 innings of work. He allowed one run on six hits.
Cayden Rollins (1-1) grabbed the win with 2.0 innings of relief.
On the season, Heidelberg has hit 43 home runs -- tied with the 2003 team for the second most in school history. The 2010 World Series team had 46 in their memorable campaign.
The Student Princes return to Peaceful Valley on Saturday for a twin bill with Ohio Northern. The games mark the team's annual Senior Day celebration.
