WILMINGTON -- A 15-point halftime lead slipped away from the Heidelberg University women's basketball team as host Wilmington College rallied for a 61-51 victory.
Three Student Princes finished in double figures, including a 13-point performance by
Sequoia Bradley.
Hallie Rogers and
Alyssa Martin each had 12.
Heidelberg shot 50% in the first half (14-of-28), building their lead while the Quakers shot 24.2% (8-of-33). Fortunes changed after halftime as HU went 4-of-22 (18.2%) from the floor and Wilmington was 15-of-28 (53.6%).
Despite eight rebounds from
Ashley Ballard, Wilmington cleaned up on the boards, 43-29.
Elisha Carter added nine points and five assists.
Heidelberg will look to get back on track on Saturday as they host Muskingum in the second half of an OAC doubleheader. The men's game tips off at 2 p.m., with the women's game to follow.
