UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH – On Wednesday evening, the Heidelberg University women's soccer team traveled to John Carroll University for a conference matchup. While the Student Princes scored the first goal, they were unable to net another, resulting in a 2-1 defeat which snapped their four game winning streak.
Heidelberg falls to 5-3-2 while the Blue Streaks improve to 6-4-2.
The Student Princes' first goal came in the 15th minute from the freshman
Caitlyn Cross when she sailed it over four Blue Streaks' heads from the deep left side of the field to notch her second career goal. Assisting Cross was
Audrey Kaufman who tallied her team leading sixth assist on the season.
Heidelberg was able to hold the Blue Streaks scoreless in the first half of play to take a 1-0 lead into the break.
In the second half, The Berg was only able to muster one shot to John Carroll's six. The Blue Streaks goals came in the 61st and 66th minutes of action.

Meredith Bruce who totaled five saves in the loss.
Heidelberg will be back in action on Saturday as they will travel to the University of Mount Union to take on the Purple Raiders. The match is set for 7 p.m.
