TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team used a late rally to stay unbeaten, defeating visiting Hanover College on a sunny Sunday at Hoernemann Stadium. The Student Princes scored the final five goals of the game and won, 11-9.
HU moved to 3-0 on the season.

Angela Lulejian had four goals and an assist to lead the HU offense.
The Student Princes took an early lead with goals on the first two possessions of the contest. Draw controls by Lulejian led to goals by
Bri Casement and
Dana Dudley.
After Hanover tied the game,
Jenna Carman sent Heidelberg into halftime with a 3-0 lead with a goal that came with 9:05 left in the first half.
The pace of play increased substantially early in the second half, with the Panthers dictating the flow. Hanover took the lead with two goals 19 seconds apart less than three minutes into the period.
Lulejian temporarily halted the Hanover momentum with her second goal of the game, a tally that came 1:19 after the Panthers took the lead.
In rapid succession, Hanover scored the next three goals in a 65-second span, taking a 7-4 lead with 24:02 to play.
With 21:54 left,
Anna Winnicki began the comeback. She scored off a feed form Lulejian. Roughly 2.5 minutes later, Carman scored her second, which brought HU back to within one.
Hanover got one back with a free position goal, then added a man-up goal shortly thereafter.
Down 9-6, Heidelberg would score the game's final five goals.
Lulejian started the rally with a goal with 13:08 remaining, assisted by
Emmy Flottman-Mullen. Less than 90 seconds later, Dudley brought HU back to within one with her fourth goal of the year.
After surviving a free position attempt by Hanover, Heidelberg was able to clear and called a timeout. Out of the break, Winnicki scored her eighth goal of the year -- tying the game at 9-9 with 7:44 left.
Moments later, Casement caused a turnover and Heidelberg capitalized. Lulejian took a pass from Flottman-Mullen and put Heidelberg on top with 4:20 left in the game. With 1:12, she tacked on an insurance goal -- her 14th of the season.
Defensively, HU caused 17 turnovers -- with Winnicki causing a team-high four. Carman had four ground balls.
In goal,
Mandi Phillips made nine saves in the win.
Hanover (2-3) was led by a four-goal game by Kinna Balasko.
Heidelberg returns to action on Thursday. The Student Princes host Anderson (0-2) at 4 p.m.
