TIFFIN -- Prior to and during their final home match of the 2019 season, the Heidelberg University women's soccer team will be assisting their own community in a unique way.
Working with Michelle Tuite of Tiffin City Schools, in connection with the Tiffin Elks Club, head coach
Nick Spell is hoping his team can be one of several different groups, organizations, businesses and sponsors from the area that are supporting this program.
Through her connection with the non-profit Elks Club, Michelle is raising money for the Summer Feed Program which assists school children at risk of missing a decent meal during the months that school is not in session. This program has assisted in providing 220 meals each week of the 2019 summer.
At the match, fans can make donations to the women's soccer team members for this cause. Those who wish to provide a check can make them payable to the "Tiffin Elks Club #94" with "Tiffin Regatta Feed Program" in the memo line.
Kickoff for the match is slated at 4 p.m. and is currently scheduled to be at Hidden Valley Soccer Complex.
