TIFFIN -- On day one of the No One Fights Alone Invitational, the Heidelberg University volleyball team notched two wins inside of a packed Seiberling Gymnasium.

With the two wins, the Student Princes push their record to 10-5. In game one, HU downed the College of Wooster (10-5) in three quick sets, 25-13, 25-22, 25-15. Match two provided a bigger challenge, but The Berg was able to fend off a tough Case Western Reserve University (9-5) 25-23, 25-20, 25-21 for the three set victory.

Head coach Jason Miller came into the weekend with 397 career wins. After defeating Wooster and Case, the Student Princes can claim Miller's 400th career victory in game one of Saturday's competition vs. Mt. St. Joseph University.

GAME ONE

Heidelberg held the Fighting Scots to a dismal .062 hitting percentage, while they hit at a .240 clip. Three Student Prince hitters found double-digits as Amy Feczer, Morgan Strenk, and Laura Schrag notched 12, 11, and 10 kills respectively. Anna McNabb dished out 36 assists over the quick match.

Defensively, Taylor Arbogast scooped up 18 digs. Freshman Sarah Oney collected 10 digs of her own. The front line chipped in with 10 total blocks, led by Strenk's four block assists.

Feczer nailed three service aces to help HU's efforts.

GAME TWO

The Student Princes saw a greater test in match two, battling the Spartans back and forth for much of the match. Heidelberg saw the light at the end of the tunnel leading 18-16 in set three, when Arbogast rattled off three straight service aces to all but seal the victory for Heidelberg.

Again, three front row players found the double-digit mark in kills for the match. This time, Alyssa Crusey, Maddie Szawranskyj and Schrag led the way, hitting 11, 10, and 11 kills a piece.

McNabb collected a double-double against the Spartans as she assisted 44 kills and notched 11 digs to help out defensively.

Arbogast once again came up big in the back row, compiling 13 digs to keep the Case hitters off the ground. Schrag contributed three block assists as well.
