Box Score 2 HOLLAND, Mich. -- The Heidelberg University volleyball team split a pair of matches on Friday night. The Student Princes swept Wheaton College 3-0 before being swept by No. 5 Hope College 3-0. HU moves to 14-8 on the season.

In the first match, the Student Princes took three close sets from Wheaton College. In a 25-21 set win, HU scored four straight points to seal the win -- capped off by a kill from Mariah Sullivan.
A back and forth second set went the Berg's way when Morgan Strenk and Sullivan had back to back kills to take the 26-24 win.
Wheaton held a slim 21-19 lead in the final set, but kills by Sullivan and Karlie DiRuzza aided by a Thunder attack error gave the Tricolor a 22-21 advantage. An attack error by Wheaton gave the Berg the win, 25-23.
Sarah Parker led the offense with 16 kills. Strenk and Sullivan each finished with nine kills. DiRuzza recorded 36 assists while Rachel Raimondo added 16 digs.

Heidelberg played a hard-fought battle against No. 5 Hope College, but dropped the match 26-24, 25-17, 25-21.
Sullivan had eight kills in the match. DiRizza picked up 30 assists and 11 digs. Raimondo registered 12 digs in the game.

The Berg will play two more matches tomorrow in Michigan. HU plays Elmhurst College in the 11 a.m. game before finishing the weekend in a matchup against No. 17 Clarkson College at 2 p.m.
