Box Score ANDERSON, Ind. – The Heidelberg University women's soccer team fell victim to a pair of early goals on Friday, falling 2-0 on the road at Anderson University. The Student Princes were forced to play from behind for almost the entirety of the match, and even out-shot the Ravens in the second half, but it was not enough as the Berg dropped the match.
KEY STATS
Anderson out-shot Heidelberg 16-10 for the match, including an 11-4 advantage in the first half where the host Ravens scored their pair of goals.
Heidelberg was called for 15 fouls and a pair of yellow cards, compared to just eight fouls and one card for Anderson.
FIRST HALF
It was a rough start out of the gate for the Berg, as Anderson jumped on top early. The Ravens scored in the fourth minute on an unassisted goal by Victoria Stevens to take the quick 1-0 lead.
Madelaine Kuhn got a shot on goal for Heidelberg in the 10th minute, but a save from the Anderson keeper preserved the lead.
Anderson added on to their lead in the 27th minute with a goal by Hailey Embree, stretching the score to 2-0 in favor of the home team.
Talia Tobin was able to find space in the 41st minute and recorded a shot on goal, but the Ravens were able to hold up yet again with a save.
SECOND HALF
It was a much quieter half offensively for both teams, as neither was able to break through the opposition's defense.
Alexandra Sivec, Regan Turner, and Darby Moloney each put a shot on goal, but Anderson was able to make the save to hold on. That 2-0 score would hold through the end of the match as the Student Princes were unable to rally back.

Heidelberg (1-2) will be right back in action tomorrow, when they take on Manchester in Indiana. That non-conference contest is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
