Box Score 2 BETHANY, W.Va. – The Heidelberg University volleyball team swept a pair of matches on Saturday at a tri-match hosted by Bethany College. The Student Princes knocked off the hosts in four sets in their opening match before defeating Denison University in four sets to wrap up the 2-0 day.
HEIDELBERG 3 BETHANY 1
The Berg opened up with a 25-19 win in the first set, followed by a dominant 25-13 victory in the second set. After dropping the third 23-25, they finished off the match with a 25-21 win in the fourth set.
Morgan Strenk led the Student Princes with a career-high 15 kills as she had a solid .464 hitting percentage in the win. Sarah Parker and Jamie Kluding each added on 13 kills. Karlie DiRuzza set a new career high with 52 assists in the match while Rachel Raimondo had a team-high 19 digs.
HEIDELBERG 3 DENSION 1
Heidelberg slowly improved throughout their second match of the day, as they started off dropping the first set 25-27 to the Big Red. After taking the second and third set by close scores, the Berg convincingly clinched the match with a 25-16 win in the fourth set.
The trio of Parker, Kluding, and Strenk led the Student Princes on the attack yet again in the victory. Parker paced the Berg with a team-high 17 kills while Kluding (15 kills) and Strenk (10) each reached double-digits. Raimondo matched her performance from the first contest, leading the team with 19 digs while Megan Mills also played a big part in the defense, recording 15 digs.

Heidelberg (14-5, 1-0 OAC) returns to Ohio Athletic Conference play this week as they host Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday. That match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Seiberling Gymnasium.
