Career Synopsis
  • 2024-Present: Began the new role of Coordinator of External Operations. She works with the head coaches, campus and community partners to promote and grow campus efforts around improving student athlete experience, fundraising and marketing
  • 2022-2024: Served as a graduate assistant in sports information office, earning the title GA of the Year
Marketing & Branding Initiatives:
  • Designed the annual “Berg Pride” shirts for all student-athletes and staff
  • Created a Berg Athletics Branding Guide and Newcomer Guide
  • Oversaw the department's social media pages
  • Facilitated D3 Week with daily activities and promotions 
Fan Engagement:
  • Designed and implemented the Home Opener Hustle to incentivize early attendance
  • Hosted a football tailgate party for the mascot’s birthday
  • Coordinated mascot appearances for multiple events
  • Invited the marching band for the first-ever soccer game performance under the lights 
  • Partnered with the local Unchained Wrestling Academy for wrestling entertainment 
  • Designed and hosted my own halftime shows, The Price is Right, Name that Tune, Minute to Win it, Scavenger Hunt etc. 
  • Turned the swimming pool into a standing room with a Belly Flop contest, judged by University President. 
  • Organized a Community Families Day for a basketball doubleheader with a dog show, face painting, balloon art and raffle baskets. Was the biggest revenue-generating game of the season. 
Fundraising & Revenue Generation:
  • Helped create videos to raise nearly $100k (120%+ over the goal) for the annual Berg Days of Summer 
  • Had student-athletes and staff sign Holiday cards to distribute to sponsors 
  • Partnered with MST to create Heidelberg-branded dipping sauce
  • Partnered with Findlay Beer Co. to create Heidelberg-branded beer
  • Organized two football beer gardens and designed souvenir cups, raising nearly $1,100
Facility Enhancements:
  • Lobbied three different departments to purchase new TV’s on campus to air live OAC games
  • Created new branding and signage in the facility and offices
Community Engagement:
  • Collaborated with The Empire, a local fine dining restaurant, to make a College Menu
  • Signed up for a local parade to pass out branded chips with the mascot and staff members
  • Coordinated a community military appreciation day at football
  • Partnered with Little Hugo’s to make a specialty treat, including a branded label. 
  • Hosted local youth basketball teams to play at halftime 
  • Collected donations over the Holiday games to stuff local blessing boxes

  • 2024 Master's of Business Graduate of Heidelberg University 
  • 2022 Graduate of Heidelberg University
    • While earning her degree in communications and integrated media, Hafer was a member of the women’s basketball team for three years
    • On campus, she held positions in Admissions and Owen Center for Teaching and Learning
    • As a senior, Hafer served as a lead statistician for soccer and lacrosse while overseeing the @BergAthletics Instagram account.
