Women's tennis wins second straight match

BEXLEY, Ohio -- After a 6-3 win over Marietta on Sunday, the Heidelberg University women's tennis team won its second straight match against Capital University, 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

Markilynn Hogle and Nikki Millar picked up an 8-1 win in doubles, while Allie Gales and Gabi Osterman fell 8-5. HU picked up another win in doubles as Jillian Goulet and Summer Hunter-Kysor won 8-1.

Heidelberg swept the field in singles play on the afternoon. After dropping Saunday's match, Hogle won her match against Capital, 6-1, 6-0. Following a 6-1, 6-0 win on Sunday, Millar won Wednesday, 6-2, 6-1.

Gales picked up her second straight singles victory by a score of 6-0, 6-1. After dropping a tiebreaker against MC, Goulet won on Wednesday, 6-3, 6-1.

Hunter-Kysor won her second straight match, 6-1, 6-0 while Osterman picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win.

The team is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Muskingum.
