AUSTINTOWN -- Heidelberg University women's soccer team was noticed across the Ohio Athletic Conference with the recognition of two student athletes this postseason. Seniors Alexandra Farmer and Maddy Hines were named to the All-OAC teams for their efforts this season.
Farmer, who was named All-OAC for the fourth consecutive season, earned second team honors, while Hines earned honorable mention accolades.
A senior goalkeeper, Farmer led the league in total saves with 138 and was fourth in save percentage with .793 this season. Over her four years, she compiled 491 saves, 24 shutouts, 30 wins, and 6,521 minutes played for the Student Princes. She sits third all-time in career saves and is the leader in most minutes played in goal for the Heidelberg women's soccer program.
Hines, a senior defender for the Berg, earned her first All-OAC honor by being selected to the honorable mention team. She anchored the Berg defense this season, starting in all 18 games she played in. As well in 2018, Hines registered three goals out of the back.
The Heidelberg women's soccer team concluded the 2018 season with an overall record of 7-11-1.
