GREENVILLE, Pa. -- McKenzie Perry and Madison Zimmerman bagged their first goals of the season as the Heidelberg University women's soccer team defeated Thiel College 4-1 on the road Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Student Princes increased their record 5-4, while the Tomcats dropped to 1-7-1.

Bekah Thomas got the scoring going for the Berg in the 36th minute as she found the back of the net, finishing a rebound off Danielle Rathfon's initial shot.

Just 16 seconds after Thomas's goal, Thiel found the equalizer. Marissa Ramirez received a pass from Nicole Pereksta and beat Alexandra Farmer on a shot from the left wing. The teams remained tied at the break.

Heidelberg used a quick start to the second half to distance themselves from the Tomcats. First, Madison Zimmerman scored in the 48th minute -- her first of the season -- as she finished off a loose ball in the middle of the box.

McKenzie Perry found her first goal of the season on a header off a corner kick, just two minutes later. Sophia Jackson collected the assist on the goal.

After exchanging several shots throughout the remainder of the half, the Student Princes sealed the win in the 90th minute as Thomas found her second of the match -- fourth of the season -- finishing a loose ball at the top of the box.

Farmer finished the match with three saves. The Berg offense finished with 31 shots drawing nine saves from goalkeeper Shay Tresler.

The Student Princes return to action on Tuesday, September 25 on the road at Bluffton University at 3:30 p.m.
