TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team continued their recent offensive form as they rolled past Trine University on Saturday afternoon on a chilly day in Tiffin, Ohio.

The Student Princes (3-3) defeated the Thunder (3-2) by a final score of 17-6.

Dana Dudley led all scorers with five, Angela Lulejian and Jen Kovarik tallied four a piece, and Emmy Flottman-Mullen netted a hat trick for the Student Princes offense.

The Student Princes found themselves in the driver's seat for the majority of the first half. Angela Lulejian got the scoring 10 minutes into the game, with a man-down goal, before a pair of Dana Dudley tallies extended the lead to 3-0.

Trine then got on the board with a free position goal from Lilly Dusek.

Jen Kovarik then netted a first-half hat trick with the next three goals in favor of the Berg. Dudley finished the Heidelberg scoring with her third of the game.

Dusek and Hannah Nelson both found the back of the cage for the Thunder before the break to bring the scoring back within four at 7-3.

After halftime, Heidelberg erupted for 10 second half goals. Emmy Flottman-Mullen got in on the action just under two minutes into the half.

Trine responded with Dusek's third of the game, before Dudley (1) and Lulejian (2) tallied the next three for the Student Princes.

Trine then scored back-back goals as Kristen Nguyen and Theresa DiMaggio found the cage.

Heidelberg then finished the scoring on the day as Flottman-Mullen added two, Alexandra Farmer got on the board and Lulejian, Kovarik, and Dudley added to their totals.

Over the course of the game, Heidelberg dominated the battle on the ground with 32 ground balls, led by five each from Payton Dawson and Naomi Smith. Lulejian also controlled a game-high seven draws.

Mandi Phillips stopped three shots in the cage for the Berg. Emily Morthorst stopped 12 shots for Trine.
