CHICAGO, Illinois -- A sluggish start for the Heidelberg University women's basketball team resulted in a 88-54 loss in their final game at the Midway Classic hosted by the University of Chicago.

MIT (3-0) outscored Heidelberg (1-2), 21-7 over the first stanza, resulting in a uphill battle.

The Berg bounced back building some momentum heading into halftime by outscoring MIT 23-19 in the second quarter. Brooke Beamer and Brittanie Ulmer combined for 14 points in the quarter to establish some control for the Student Princes.

MIT continued to outscore the Berg in the fourth quarter 26-15.

Crawford led the Student Princes in scoring with 16 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Beamer and Ulmer each reached double-digit points in the game as well. Beamer finished with 13, while Ulmer collected 10.
