Dr. Kylee Spencer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology and Environmental Science. She graduated with a Ph.D. in Human Genetics and an M.S. in Statistics from Vanderbilt University in 2007. She won Heidelberg's Distinguished Scholarship/Research Award in 2016 for her work on DNA sequencing of clams, completed in collaboration with the National Center for Water Quality Research. She also leads a biannual Alternative Break trip for students to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
