Playing a sport helped me:
both personally and professionally. Personally, my experiences playing softball at HU helped me learn the value of working with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Professionally, the practice of law has many similarities to athletic competition, and I have enjoyed translating my experience as an athlete to the preparation of legal briefs and to the courtroom.
Most memorable moment at HU:
the hours our team spent together practicing, traveling, and working to improve. I will always remember how much fun we had together.
Heidelberg is unique because:
it provides students with an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities with the support of professors, coaches, and other students. As an athlete who might have been limited to just a sport at a bigger school, I was able to be involved in many other campus organizations and activities.
