RICHMOND, Ind. -- The Heidelberg University Men's Soccer traveled to Indiana to take on Earlham College. The Student Princes, despite a hard fight, fell 3-1 on their first road game.
Earlham earned an early advantage in the first half, scoring off of a penalty kick. They went on to score their second in the 65th minute.
Ready to respond, freshman
Donovan Abbott recorded his first collegiate goal only seven minutes later. Fellow freshman
Jalen Ball fed him the play.
Recording eleven shots, of which six were on goal, Heidelberg was just unable to come back.
Goalkeeper
Xochiel Galvan added six saves to his record, now standing at 10 on the season.
Heidelberg will host Franklin College for an early afternoon match at Hoernemann Stadium on Sunday at 2 p.m. Next week the men will travel to New York to take on Fredonia and Buffalo State.
