INDIANAPOLIS - For the first time since 2022, the Heidelberg University Men's Basketball team will participate in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament, and like 2022, the Student Princes will head to Illinois Wesleyan. Bloomington, Illinois, will also welcome John Carroll University and Grinnell College to IWU's Shirk Center Friday-Saturday, March 6-7. Game times will be announced once available. 

The 64-team field included 43 automatic qualifiers and 21 at-large selections. Heidelberg, with the automatic qualifier in hand, was one of three Ohio Athletic Conference teams in the field. Otterbein is headed to Chicago and Mount Union will travel to Christopher Newport. 

Heidelberg lost to UW La Crosse in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in 2022.

The winner of this weekend's pod will play in the Sweet Sixteen Friday or Saturday, March 13 or 14. The Elite Eight and Final Four rounds will take place in Fort Wayne, Ind. Thursday-Saturday, March 19-21. The national title game will follow Sunday, April 5, in a combined championship weekend with NCAA Division I and II in Indianapolis, Ind.
