TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University Women's Soccer team lost their home opener to the College of Wooster, 3-1, on Saturday. Missing several key elements, Student Princes were unable to overcome the Fighting Scots.
Wooster (4-0) struck first with a goal by Bella Compton in the ninth minute of the game. Â
Heidelberg (0-2-1) responded with an equalizer in the 23rd minute.
Brianna Braatz found the net after receiving a pass from
Ella Jacobs.
Tied at one in the second half, Annie Henegar scored twice after halftime -- in the 49th and 81st minute. Â
Maddi Springer made seven saves in the loss.
The Berg is back in action on Tuesday at home against Case Western Reserve. The match is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex.Â
