TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University Women's Soccer team lost their home opener to the College of Wooster, 3-1, on Saturday. Missing several key elements, Student Princes were unable to overcome the Fighting Scots.

Wooster (4-0) struck first with a goal by Bella Compton in the ninth minute of the game.  

Heidelberg (0-2-1) responded with an equalizer in the 23rd minute. Brianna Braatz found the net after receiving a pass from Ella Jacobs.

Tied at one in the second half, Annie Henegar scored twice after halftime -- in the 49th and 81st minute.  

Maddi Springer made seven saves in the loss.

The Berg is back in action on Tuesday at home against Case Western Reserve. The match is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex.
