Box Score 2 NEW CONCORD -- The Heidelberg University Softball team suffered a sweep on the road at Muskingum, falling 8-7 and 5-0. The Berg dropped to 16-18 overall, 5-9 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Alyse Swartz in the second, giving Heidelberg a 1-0 lead.
Muskingum tied the game in the second and went up 2-1 in the third.
The Student Princes tied the game in the fourth, using a single by
Emma Dean and three walks to force in a run. The Muskies responded with five runs in the bottom of the inning.
A pair of Musky errors in the fifth allowed the Student Princes to plate a run.
Down 8-3 in the top of the seventh, Heidelberg put up a fight. Dean started the push with a one-out double, then
Lillie Robeson was hit by a pitch and
Aubrey Conklin walked to load the bases. Torres lined a single up the middle, scoring two.
Sammie Trimpey walked, putting runners on the corners with two outs. Trimpey swiped second and Torres stole home. While the Musky pitcher turned toward the umpire to protest the call, Trimpey -- the potential tying run -- sprinted to third.
Leah Arnett followed with a slow chopper in front of the plate. The pitcher scooped it and fired to first. The bang-bang call went Muskingum's way, ending HU's threat to tie the contest.
GAME TWO MUSKY 5-6-2 BERG 0-2-2
The offense struggled against Muskingum's Bethany Rodman, mustering two hits. The hosts did their damage with a pair of home runs.

Heidelberg returns to the diamond on Thursday at Manchester. The doubleheader is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start.
