ADA, Ohio -- Back in action after picking up their first OAC Dual win of the season on Tuesday, the Heidelberg University Wrestling team took fourth at the ONU Invitational on Saturday. The Student Princes had seven placers, led by runner-up finishes by
TJ Rhamy and
Aidan Belgiorno.
At 184, Rhamy returned to the lineup with gusto -- racking up a pair of tech falls in his first two bouts of the season. He followed that with a major decision to move to the semifinals. There, he won a narrow 4-2 win before falling in the finals. He went 4-1 on the day.
Wrestling at 197, Belgiorno opened with a bye then picked up a first-period pin. He followed that with a high-scoring major decision, winning 26-14. He won a 5-2 decision in the semifinals before falling in the finals. He was 3-1.
174-pounder
Owen Frizzell took third place. He sandwiched a pin between two major decisions before losing in the semifinals. In the consolations, he tacked on two more wins and went 5-1 on the day.
In his collegiate debut,
Drew Miller took home a fourth-place finish at 141. After a pin, Miller used an escape in the final seconds to win his second round bout. Following a loss, he won three straight in the consolation bracket -- one tech fall and another pin. He was 5-2 overall.
Travis Richardson went 4-2 at 157 and finished fourth. His run included a pair of pins.
Also at 157,
Anthony Grecol was 5-1 and placed sixth. After a pin in the opener, he fell in the second round. In the wrestle-backs, he needed a late point to force overtime and won in sudden victory -- igniting a string of four total wins in the consolations.
Josh GIbson was seventh at 141, starting with two pins. He went 4-2, with one of his losses coming to Miller.

Claude Buckmaster, Gavin Wickhas, and
Demitrius Hernandez all had multiple wins on the day, but did not place.
The 'Berg wrestlers return to the mats under the Seiberling Gymnasium spotlight on Friday for a dual against Case Western Reserve University. Action begins at 7 p.m.
