BEREA -- An unlucky bounce was all that separated the Heidelberg University Women's Soccer team from a result at Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday. Instead of a draw, HU was forced to settle for a 1-0 loss.
Though scoreless at half, Heidelberg enjoyed several chances offensively. All five HU shots in the period were on frame.
The Yellow Jackets took the lead in the 58th minute, scoring on a long shot that took a tough bounce and rolled into the net.
HU finished with six shots in the game, including two from
Madi Lause and Sydney Hewer.
With three matches left in the regular season, Heidelberg remains in the hunt for a spot in the six-team OAC Tournament.
Heidelberg hits the road one final time on Saturday before finishing up with a pair of home games next week. The Student Princes visit Marietta for a 1 p.m. match along the banks of the Ohio River.
