Box Score BLUFFTON, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University women's soccer team held off a late rally by Bluffton University and came away with a 4-3 victory. Bluffton threatened late in the second half, scoring twice in the final two minutes, but HU was able to hold on for the win.
The Student Princes improved to 5-3-2 as the Beavers slipped to 0-5.
Bluffton scored first in the 14th minute. Brittany Huff scored on a shot from the right side.
Midway through the first half, the Berg evened the score. McKenzie Perry launched a shot past the Bluffton keeper thanks to a pass from Denise Bowes. It was Perry's first goal of the season.
Both teams were held scoreless until the 57th minute when Perry struck again. Abigail Callahan passed a ball inside the box and Perry finished, giving the Tricolor a one-goal advantage.
Shae-Lynn Hallowell pushed the Berg's lead to 3-1 when she scored her third goal of the season six minutes later.
HU pulled ahead by three thanks to a goal from Maureen Kelly. The strike from the top of the box was the junior's first collegiate goal.
The Beavers would challenge HU for the remainder of the match. With two minutes to play, Bluffton scored twice within a one-minute span, cutting Heidelberg's lead from 4-1 to 4-3.

Freshman goalkeeper Bri Casement made three saves in the game. Bluffton's Kayla Penrod recorded 14 saves.
The Berg fired 30 shots on the afternoon. It is the third time this season they have tallied 25 or more shots -- the other two times coming in wins over Defiance and Manchester.
