BEREA, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University women's soccer team could not regroup from giving up an early goal, as they fell to Baldwin Wallace University 3-0. The Student Princes are now 6-8-2, 1-5 OAC as BW improves to 10-6-1, 4-2 OAC.

Rachel Bender scored a hat trick for the Yellow Jackets -- her first goal coming just 22 seconds into the match.

Her second goal came in the 10th minute on a feed from Alex Elliott. Bender's final goal of the night came in the 62nd minute when Elliott found her for the second time.

Bender is now tied for the OAC lead in points with 34.

Baldwin Wallace controlled the tempo for most of the match, outshooting HU 24-4.

Goalkeeper Alexandra Farmer made 13 saves in the game. BW's Sophia Widener recorded two.

Heidelberg is back on the road this Saturday when they travel to Marietta College. Kickoff along the Ohio River is slated for 2 p.m.
