Box Score BLUFFTON -- The modest two-match winning streak for the Heidelberg University women's soccer team was snapped in a 1-0 double-overtime loss at Bluffton University on Tuesday. The Student Princes outshot the Beavers 21-11, but the hosts prevailed on a goal by Terrill Webb in the 102nd minute.
Heidelberg (3-6-1) saw 11 different players record a shot, with 13 of the shots on frame. Christina Neal tallied six shots while Hannah Gregoire and Kimberly Keenan levied three apiece.
Goalkeeper Kenzie Lundqvist had three saves in the loss.
The match was a homecoming for Heidelberg assistant coach Aimee Whitmer, a '14 Bluffton graduate and former Beaver soccer player.
Heidelberg's non-conference slate ended with four straight matches decided by one goal, including three that ended in double-overtime.
The conference portion of the schedule begins with a 7 p.m. match at Otterbein University on Saturday.
