MARIETTA – Despite
Eric Panning's record-tying 16th double-double of the season, the Heidelberg University Men's Basketball team fell on the road at Marietta in double overtime, 99-91. Panning finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds -- one of three in double figures for the Student Princes, who slipped to 11-6 overall, 7-3 in the OAC.

Jashun Cobb had 11 off the bench.
Heidelberg led by as many as nine in the first half, but Marietta regained control as they cut it down to one at the half, 37-36.
In the second, Young scored six of the seven 'Berg points as the last three minutes dwindled. Down by one,
Eric Panning split a pair of shots from the line. Marietta had an open look at the regulation winner, but the game went into overtime, knotted at 73.
The Student Princes had a hot 10-5 run to start the extra session, but a wild Marietta 3-pointer heave that banked in as time expired ignited another round of overtime as the teams remained tied at 84.
An aggressive Pioneer defense held The Berg to only five free throws and a layup in the second overtime. The hosts managed two 3-pointers and seven from the line to tally the 99-91 victory.
