Box Score NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Heidelberg University men's basketball team could not withstand a late surge by Muskingum University on Saturday. Muskingum defeated the Student Princes 91-85.
Four Heidelberg starters finished in double figures, led by Deonte Holder's game-high 25 points.
Leading by 10 at halftime, Heidelberg (4-9, 0-6 OAC) took an 18-point after a pair of Jack Hart free throws midway through the second half.
Muskingum (7-5, 2-4 OAC) stormed back with a 25-5 run over the next six minutes to take the lead. Solid free throw shooting and eight points from Nick Warnement gave the Muskies the win.
Mike Petrie finished with 19 points and Cole Williams had 16 points in the loss. Jackson Blue had 10 points.
The Student Princes were out-rebounded 45-22.
Heidelberg will host Ohio Northern on Wednesday. Tip-off with the Polar Bears is at 7:30 p.m.
